Seniors end their time at MIT with a bang — literally!

As seniors prepare to commemorate their time at MIT, the virtual format of this year’s commencement appears to be a plus for one small reason: thunderstorms. Watch out if you’re planning on celebrating outside tomorrow! Especially from 3 p.m.–4 p.m., make sure to stay under low-hanging trees and to avoid lightning. If you hear the rumbling of thunder shortly after flashes of lightning, head inside to safety.

To all our graduating seniors, we have been thunderstruck by your warmth and the wisdom you’ve shared with us for these past years, and we can’t wait to see how else you’ll light up the world. Come back and visit — we’re wishing you clear skies ahead!
