The MIT Shotokan Karate club hosts the first Super Training 2016 at the MIT Z Center Sunday afternoon. The Shotokan Karate teams from Harvard, Dartmouth, BU, and Tufts, were invited; athletes from five colleges and 18 different countries attend the event. The practice was led by legendary Japanese sensei Kazumi Tabata, an 8th degree Grand Master in Shotokan karate. As captain of the U.S. Karate team for two decades, he represented the U.S. in many international tournaments. He was also the technical director for the U.S. National Olympic Committee.
