The following incidents were reported to the MIT Police between April 5, 2007 and April 16, 2007. This summary does not include incidents such as false alarms, general service calls, larcenies, or medical shuttles.
Apr. 6: M2 (182 Memorial Dr.), 4:23 p.m., Suspect stated he needed money for a flat tire and would pay him back; victim gave him $40 on Carlton St. Police dispatched to take report.
PDT (97 Bay State Rd., Boston), 6:40 p.m., Larceny of computer. Police dispatched to take report.
Apr. 8: 111 Baystate, Boston, 2:22 p.m., Caller states male 3040 years of age, sweatshirt wearing a blue ball hat, last seen on the fourth floor of house; units arrived, building checked; suspicious person gone upon arrival.
Apr. 9: M14 (160 Memorial Dr.), 6:23 p.m., Hayden Library deskworker stated that a suspicious person, male wearing a dark shirt and dark pants was acting suspiciously at the computers; individual issued a trespass warning.
Apr. 11: W89 (291 Vassar St.), 12:39 p.m., Police take report of a laptop stolen from Building 3.
M14 (160 Memorial Dr.), 3:03 p.m., Caller states there was a briefcase left on the stairs going up to the library; looks suspicious; checked out okay.
Apr. 12: M16 (21 Rear Ames St.), 4:29 p.m., Malicious damage to a cabinet.
Apr. 13: W1 (305 Memorial Dr.), 1:46 a.m., Reporting person reports a student may be missing; detectives investigating.
W11 (40 Mass. Ave.), 3:59 p.m., Male asking for money and intimidating people; police dispatched, subject given trespass warning and escorted off property.
M10 (122 Memorial Dr.), 4:26 p.m., Killian Court suspicious person asking for money; police dispatched, check and inquiry of individual.
E2 (70 Amherst St.), 8:08 p.m., States someone stole digital camera, cash, cell phone, and watch; police take report.
E2 (70 Amherst St.), 8:08 p.m., States someone stole her backpack and laptop computer; police take report.
M14 (160 Memorial Dr.), 10:10 p.m., Reporting person stated person being aggressive, swearing; police dispatched for routine check and inquiry.
Apr. 15: DU (526 Beacon St.), 1:43 a.m., Report of unknown in building at 526 Beacon St., Boston; arrest of Charles Roderick, 12 LaGrange St., Brookline, Mass.; under arrest for breaking and entering nighttime.
W1 (305 Memorial Dr.), 10:26 p.m., States his laptop has been stolen from his room.
Apr. 16: 500 Commonwealth Ave., 7:50 p.m., Arrested Timothy M. Brien, 115 Willis Ave., Medford, Mass.; malicious destruction of property and possession of Class B, Class D.
