Pleasant November weekend in Cambridge

4442 weather
Situation for Noon Eastern Time, Friday, November 18, 2011

The recent rain should move away for the weekend as a high pressure system takes hold of New England. Temperatures will gradually increase from Friday until Sunday, creating a pleasant mid-November weekend. Though it is too far away to predict with good certainty, it looks as though clear weather should dominate for much of Thanksgiving break as well.

Elsewhere in the country, wet winter storms have dumped feet of snow in the Cascades and Rockies. With many ski resorts starting their seasons in time for Thanksgiving vacations, this powder is just what they needed; however, with an estimated 42.5 million Americans traveling next week, hopefully the storms will not create overly hazardous conditions.
