In Memoriam: Lauren Brock ’27
In a statement to the MIT Community, President Sally Kornbluth announced the death of Lauren Brock ’27. A New Hampshire native and Macgregor resident, Brock deferred enrollment for two years after joining a start-up full time.
Kornbluth wrote that Brock was looked up to “for her wisdom, experience and kindness.” Brock was described as a “ ‘curious, motivated, independent spirit.' ” Brock was a member of the MIT lightweight women’s crew team.
The cause of death was not officially reported by MIT.
